The Speaker emphasized that economic success should be measured not only by wealth generation but also by its positive impact on society. “The true measure of success is not merely wealth creation, but bringing about positive change in society and creating value,” he said.

Highlighting the importance of youth in India’s development journey, Birla said educated, skilled and technologically empowered young people represent the nation’s greatest asset. He added that India’s demographic advantage, combined with innovation and entrepreneurship, would be instrumental in transforming the country into a developed nation by 2047.

Referring to the government’s vision of an “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, Birla said the initiative is energising small and medium enterprises as well as innovation-driven industries, creating new opportunities for growth, employment and economic transformation.

He stressed that development can be considered meaningful only when its benefits reach every section of society, particularly the most vulnerable. Birla called for ensuring that every citizen becomes an active stakeholder in the country’s progress and that growth remains inclusive and equitable.

Expressing optimism about India’s future, the Lok Sabha Speaker said that the ideals of unity, service and “Nation First” would guide the country towards fulfilling its aspiration of becoming a developed nation by the centenary year of Independence.

The vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” seeks to transform India into a developed country by 2047 through sustained economic growth, innovation, infrastructure expansion, social inclusion and enhanced global competitiveness. The government has consistently emphasized the role of public participation and community-driven initiatives in realising this national goal.
