Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday ended his protest and left Delhi to meet his parents but not before warning that today’s agitation at Jantar Mantar was just a trailer.
In a social media post on X after ending his protest, Dipke said, “Going home to see my parents, it’s been more than a year since I last met them. They’ve suffered a lot over the last 15 days and had to leave home because of threats. Will be taking them back to home.”

He added, “FYI, today’s protest was just a trailer. Thank you for showing up in such huge numbers!”
No response from govt on Dipke’s ultimatum to Pradhan
Earlier today, Dipke issued an ultimatum to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying the latter must quit by 5 pm.
He warned that the CJP would launch nationwide protests, with a major agitation planned for June 13 at the same venue if the minister does not resign.
However, even as his 5 pm deadline passed, there was no response from the government.
Earlier in the day, Dipke arrived in India holding a copy of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s book. His party was granted permission for the protest and he went straight to the Jantar Mantar.
Thousands of CJP supporters had already gathered at the venue, many with a book and a flower in their hands, and chanted slogans against the Education Minister.
The protesters were holding posters that read ‘Dharmendra Pradhan Istifa Do’ (Dharmendra Pradhan, resign). Some of them were also wearing ‘Cockroach’ masks.
Addressing the gathering, Wangchuk said that the demand for Pradhan’s resignation was just the beginning and suggested that the CJP would continue to fight for reforms in the education system in the country.
