Raakh OTT release date and platform: Prime Video has confirmed June 12 as the global premiere date for ‘Raakh’, a Hindi-language investigative crime thriller. The series stars Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, and Aamir Bashir.
‘Raakh’ follows an investigating officer on the hunt for two missing teenagers. Their disappearance breaks apart their family and puts an entire city on edge. As the officer digs deeper into the case, he is pulled into a world of violence and human depravity.

The cast
Ali Fazal leads the series as the investigating officer. He is known internationally for his roles in ‘Victoria and Abdul’, ‘Death on the Nile’, and the Prime Video series ‘Mirzapur’. Sonali Bendre, last seen in ‘The Broken News’, is part of the main cast. Aamir Bashir, who appeared in ‘Tiger 3’, rounds out the three lead actors. The full ensemble also includes Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Rakesh Bedi.
Prosit Roy directs and serves as executive producer on the series. Roy previously directed episodes of ‘Paatal Lok Season 1’. Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket created, wrote, and co-directed the show. Nandakumar has credits on ‘Singham Again’. Saket has previously worked on ‘Indian Police Force’. Dialogues are written by Ayush Trivedi, who also worked on ‘Indian Police Force’.
Earlier announcements
Prime Video first announced ‘Raakh’ in August 2025. The series was later showcased at Amazon Prime Video’s content event, ‘It Starts Here,’ in March 2026. At that event, Prime Video India unveiled a slate of 55 new films, series, and returning franchises for 2026. ‘Raakh’ was among the titles featured. The platform had used the tagline “Justice will rise from the ashes” in its social media posts for the show.
