Describing the initiative as a key component of the government’s employment strategy, the statement said the Rozgar Mela reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritising job creation for the country’s youth.

“The Rozgar Mela is a major initiative aimed at translating the Prime Minister’s vision of employment generation into reality,” the statement said.

The 19th edition of the employment drive will be conducted at 47 locations across the country. Candidates selected from different regions will join several ministries and departments under the Government of India.

The newly recruited candidates will be appointed in departments including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Department of Higher Education, among others.

According to the government, nearly 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 Rozgar Melas organised across the country since the initiative was launched.

The Rozgar Mela has emerged as one of the Centre’s flagship recruitment initiatives aimed at filling vacancies in government departments in a time-bound manner while expanding employment opportunities for young people.

The latest round of appointments comes as the government continues to emphasise public sector hiring and skill-based employment generation as part of its broader economic and governance agenda.
