Stating “I don’t know if you saw Modi’s video today,” he took a jab at the Indian Prime Minister for feeding Italian Prime Minister Meloni a toffee. “Before leaving for Italy, the Prime Minister urged Indians not to minimise petrol use. A day later, he flew to Italy in a plane worth Rs 4,000 crore. Now, he is making a reel about feeding the Prime Minister a toffee there. What kind of a joke is being played on the people of this country? Factories are closing, inflation is rising. Fertilizer will not be available in the coming days.”

Rahul Gandhi said, “See, after demonetization, Modi cried and said, ‘Let me be hanged, if black money isn’t eliminated, then the time is coming again when he will cry.’ Remember one thing: demonetization was an attack on Indian farmers, laborers, and small businesses. The goal of demonetization was to hand over your hard-earned money to Adani and Ambani.”

“When our workers were walking thousands of kilometers, Narendra Modi was waiving loans worth lakhs and crores of rupees belonging to Adani and Ambani. Now, look what they have done: they have destroyed the public sector. Factories have closed. Farmers and labourers have become impoverished. They have spread unemployment throughout the country. An economic storm is coming to India. A storm like never before in India,” he observed.

“Before the assembly elections, Narendra Modi said there is no shortage of oil and gas, everything is fine. We have been saying this for two months. Then the BJP members made fun of me,” he added.

He further said, “Narendra Modi has attacked the Constitution for the last 12 years. He has given complete control of the Election Commission to RSS members. He has created a system for vote theft. Adani and Ambani cannot save the country. The farmers and labourers of the country can save the country but they have tied your hands. We are still saying that you should work for the farmers of the country.”

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi went to the house of late Congress leader Yogendra Mishra of Amethi and met his family members to console them. A few days ago, Mr Mishra had also passed away after a prolonged illness. After the workers’ conference, Rahul Gandhi’s convoy left for Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj. From Munshiganj, Rahul Gandhi is slated to leave for Delhi via Lucknow.
