He also warned of a bigger agitation if needed. He alleged that farmers are facing long delays in wheat procurement due to a failed slot booking and token system.

Congress Madhya Pradesh in-charge Harish Chaudhary was also present along with scores of Congress workers and farmers from Ujjain, Dewas, Agar Malwa, Rajgarh, Sehore and Raisen districts.

Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar led the protesters at Khalghat.

Many Congress workers and peasants from the districts of Dhar, Alirajpur, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Barwani, and Jhabua staged protest at the site.

Similar protests were held at Shivpuri, Gwalior, Morena, Guna and other places across the state.

The main demands of the Congress include that the mismanagement in wheat procurement must be rectified immediately, the government must investigate irregularities in slot booking and take action against those responsible, the farmers must be compensated for losses incurred due to delays in procurement, and that the state government must ensure that farmers receive the full and fair price for their produce.
