Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP’s state president Ravindra Chavan expressed their happiness over the party’s victory in West Bengal, calling it a victory for BJP workers.

“This is the victory of BJP workers. About 6,000 Bengali BJP workers from Maharashtra went to West Bengal to work day and night to achieve this victory. This victory achieved under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a victory of nationalism,” BJP Maharashtra state president Ravindra Chavan said.

Fadnavis said, “This victory is not just a ‘poribortan’ but a ‘mahaporibortan’. When I went to Bengal, a journalist told me that BJP people are from outside West Bengal. I countered that the person who founded the BJP (previously called Jan Sangh) was Shyama Prasad Mukherjee from West Bengal. So, if there is a real party in Bengal, it is the BJP. Today, the people of Bengal have shown Didi which is the real party of Bengal. The people of Bengal have shown their faith in PM Modi,” he said.
“This victory in Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry is a victory of the faith of Indians in Modi. Even today, the people know only one thing, if Modi is there, it is possible. Bengal suffered under the misrule of the Congress for 30 years, the Communists for 36 years, and Mamata Didi for 15 years,” Fadnavis said.
“Now, there will be a change. Mamata Didi, no matter how much atrocities you commit, you will not be able to stop BJP workers. That is the meaning of today’s victory. Not only has the BJP won in Bengal today, but the whole of India has won. Like in Assam, now Bengal will also play a decisive role in India’s journey,” Fadnavis said.
Reacting to the BJP’s decisive victory in West Bengal, senior BJP leader and Minister of Water Resources of Maharashtra Radhakrishna Vikhepatil said, “Finally, jungle rule has been ended in West Bengal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. West Bengal had become a headquarters of Bangladeshi infiltrators. Due to this infiltration, the country was facing an internal threat. The people of West Bengal have given a good slap to Mamata Banerjee, who was helpless due to her dependence on votes from a certain community”.
