The distribution of departments among the Chief Minister and both Deputy Chief Ministers is currently temporary. It is being said that a full cabinet expansion may take a few days. Until then, Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Choudhary, and Bijendra Yadav will jointly manage the administration.
Of the 29 departments retained by CM Samrat, most were earlier held by ministers from the BJP quota in the previous Nitish Kumar government. In addition, departments that were earlier with LJP-R, HAM, and RLM have also been taken over by the Chief Minister.
Meanwhile, departments that were earlier held by JD(U) ministers during the Nitish Kumar government have been distributed between the two new Deputy Chief Ministers.
The 29 departments retained by the CM include General Administration, Home, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, and Election.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been given charge of 10 departments, including Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Building Construction, and Minority Welfare.
These departments are considered important for governance, making his role significant.
Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been assigned eight departments, including Energy, Planning and Development, Prohibition, Excise, and Registration.
