Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday said that infrastructure development in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is creating history every day and that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is a historic step towards accelerating development in the region.
Highlighting the environmental aspect of the project, Sachdeva said that approximately 1 million metric tonnes of waste from the Ghazipur landfill has been scientifically processed and utilised in the construction of the expressway.

“This initiative is a strong example of the ‘waste to wealth’ principle and reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable development,” the BJP leader said.
He described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a ‘Vikas Purush’ who has ushered in a new stream of development, calling it the need of the hour.
Sachdeva expressed gratitude on behalf of the residents of the national capital to PM Modi for inaugurating the expressway. He also extended his greetings on the occasion of Baisakhi and Dr BR Ambedkar’s Jayanti.
Sachdeva said that under the leadership of PM Modi, India is defining a new paradigm of development, with Delhi emerging as a key centre of this transformation.
“Under the leadership of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, modern and world-class expressways are being rapidly constructed across the country, giving new momentum to India’s economic growth,” the Delhi BJP chief said.
According to Sachdeva, infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 65,000 crore are currently underway in Delhi, of which projects worth Rs 33,000 crore have already been completed, while those worth Rs 32,000 crore are in progress.
