The Government of Pakistan on Tuesday condemned Iranian missile and drone strikes against energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, asserting that Islamabad will stand with Riyadh if the conflict in the Middle East escalates.
Expressing deep concern, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Pakistan mourns the loss of life resulting from these attacks and strongly deplores the damage inflicted on vital infrastructure.”

The ministry said that Pakistan firmly stands with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people during this difficult time.
“The Government of Pakistan considers these attacks a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a dangerous escalation that undermines regional peace and stability,” the statement read.
“Pakistan reaffirms its unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security,” it added.
In September 2025, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) in Riyadh.
Under the pact, any aggression against either country would be considered an attack on both.
The Pakistani statement comes hours after Iran attacked a Saudi petrochemical complex in Jubail in response to Israeli strikes on its petrochemical sites, reported Iranian Fars news agency.
Iran has vowed to attack the entire Gulf region and American assets if the US attacks its critical infrastructure.
