The budget session of the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Tuesday witnessed uproar after Muslin women councillors of the Opposition Congress paid homage to Iran’s slain supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei and alleged that the US and Israel killed him by treachery.

Similarly, Congress Councillor Fauzia Sheikh Aleem paid homage to Khamenei and offered her condolences to his family. She claimed that the deceased leader was always a friend and guardian for India in times of need.
