In an audacious incident of theft, unidentified miscreants targeted the high-security official residence of a cabinet minister in Madhya Pradesh and decamped with several items like trophies, shields, and mementos kept in the store room of the bungalow, located right on one of the busiest main roads of the state capital, Bhopal.
The minister’s official residence is also under 24/7 surveillance by security guards of the police.

The incident occurred around two nights ago, but came to light on Monday morning.
As per TT Nagar police station in-charge Gaurav Dohare, most of the trophies, mementos, and shields, which were stolen, were gifted to the minister during various programs in the past.
Police said CCTV cameras are not installed in the store room, located at the backside of the house.
The police are checking CCTV footage from nearby houses and other cameras to get some clues about the hitherto unidentified miscreants.
What makes the theft more brazen is the fact that the immediate neighbour of Vishwas Sarang is an ADG Level IPS Officer, while Union Agriculture Minister and former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s bungalow is located right across the road, and both houses have round-the-clock high security.
