Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Sunday announced an ex-gratia compensation of ₹9 lakh for the kin of each deceased and ₹2.5 lakh as assistance for the injured in the Agarwal Lodge building collapse in Kotma town of Anuppur district on Saturday evening.
The police have registered a case against the landowner and the lodge owner in the matter.

According to Anuppur SP Moti Ur Rahman, landowner Rajiv Garg and lodge owner Lallu Lal Agarwal have been booked under Section 106(A) of the BNS.

The Chief Minister informed that the families of the three deceased would receive ₹4 lakh from the CM Discretionary Fund, ₹4 lakh from the Sambal Yojana, and ₹1 lakh from the Red Cross, taking the total compensation to ₹9 lakh each.
Similarly, each injured person will receive ₹2 lakh from the CM Discretionary Fund and ₹50,000 from the Red Cross.
Three people died and five were injured in the collapse of the three-storey Agarwal Lodge building on Saturday evening.
