It seems Badshah’s latest Haryanvi track ‘Tateeree’ is causing quite the stir in Haryana! The song, which dropped on March 1, 2026, has landed the rapper in serious trouble with the law. Police across the state have gone full throttle, removing 857 links related to the track from the internet, including 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram Reels. And yes, this includes any sneakily re-uploaded or short-form versions too. Fans may be grooving to the beats of Badshah and Simran Jaglan. But authorities are clearly not amused. The controversy stems from music video showing school girls dancing to the track which Haryana State Commission for Women has flagged as objectionable, inappropriate, vulgar particularly towards women.

The situation escalated further when Badshah reportedly failed to appear in court despite several summons, prompting the commission to even seek his arrest.

Police move: takedowns & notices

According to officials from Panchkula Police, takedown drive is part of coordinated effort with social media platforms following proper legal procedures. Notices have been sent to YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms, instructing them to remove every version of the song; full videos, shorts, Reels, or any re-uploads.

The aim? Protect women and minors from inappropriate content and enforce stricter norms on digital media circulation.

Zero-tolerance from the top

Haryana DGP Ajay Singhal has made it clear that the state won’t tolerate anything that violates the dignity of women or minors. DGP highlighted that monitoring of online content has beefed up.

Singhal also credited Haryana government under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini by noting that both police and administration are working hand-in-hand to crack down on objectionable content and maintain digital decorum.

Ongoing investigation

The case is currently under investigation at the Cyber Police Station, Sector-20, Panchkula, with officers continuously tracking the circulation of the song online. Authorities are identifying the individuals and handles responsible for sharing the content for further legal action.

Haryana Police has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on content that is misleading, anti-social, or objectionable, urging citizens to report such posts immediately to help maintain safer digital spaces.

So far, Badshah hasn’t made any public statements regarding the controversy. Last week, however, he did get interim protection from arrest from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, giving him a temporary reprieve while the investigation continues.
