BJP’s Shehzad Poonawalla went all out on X (formerly Twitter), firing at Congress and CM Revanth Reddy with some seriously sharp words. He didn’t hold back, saying that Revanth once claimed “Congress means Muslims,” and now, according to Poonawalla, he’s practically turned into “Revanth-Uddin” with all the Eid gifts being handed out to Muslims using taxpayers’ money.
The jab? Telangana is in a financial crunch, yet the government apparently found cash to shower Eid presents on lakhs of people.
Poonawalla didn’t stop there. He pointed out that today marks a bunch of Hindu festivals like Hindu New Year, Navratri, Chaitra Sukladi, Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Cheti Chand, Navreh, Sajibu Cheiraoba, and asked the obvious question: where are the gifts for Hindus? He slammed the state for using public funds to favour one religion over others, calling it blatant discrimination.
The BJP leader even suggested that Revanth Reddy is trying to outdo politicians like Owaisi and the Samajwadi leaders, aiming to become “the biggest bhaijaan” of Telangana.
Poonawalla didn’t mince words on Congress either, accusing them of running a “vote bank ki dukaan” while preaching about the Constitution. To drive the point home, he shared a video showing the Eid gifts with Revanth’s photo plastered on them, making it crystal clear who’s taking the credit.
