In a major incident, as many as 43 students of a government school in poll-bound Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore were rushed to a hospital following a suspected case of food poisoning.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at a government school shortly after the students were given their mid-day meal, which was prepared at the school. However, shortly after consuming the food, some students started vomiting and complained of pain in the stomach.

As more and more students complained of similar symptoms, they were rushed to a government hospital for treatment.

This is not the first time students of a Tamil Nadu government school have fallen ill after consuming their mid-day meal. Earlier in January this year, at least 33 students were taken to the hospital over a suspected case of food poisoning.
