Nishant Kumar greeted supporters upon arriving at the party headquarters. Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Working President of JD(U), was also present during the occasion.

A day earlier, Nishant Kumar had held a meeting with senior party leaders and young MLAs at the residence of Sanjay Kumar Jha, where discussions were held on the party’s future strategy.

His entry into active politics comes amid a major transition in Bihar’s leadership. On March 5, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha, signalling the end of his long tenure as the state’s Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar said that he would continue to remain connected with the state despite shifting to the Upper House of Parliament.

“I am going to the Rajya Sabha. There won’t be a problem for you all. I will remain in Bihar as well; all work will continue. Work hard for the development of Bihar. I will keep an eye on everything; do not worry,” he had said.
