The US and Israeli strikes on Iran came just days after Washington and Tehran held another round of nuclear deal talks. Iran claimed that they were hoping for the deal to conclude in the next round but the US chose to attack even before that.
Trump, however, has claimed that Iran backed out after reaching an agreement.
In response to the US and Israeli strikes, Iran has also retaliated by hitting Israel and US targets in the Gulf with missiles and drones.
While approximately 787 people, including top leaders and school children, have been killed in Iran so far, the United States and Israel too have suffered casualties.
Six US soldiers have been killed in Iranian strikes so far. Iran also claimed to have shot down three US F-15 fighter jets but Washington said they took a hit from Kuwait in “friendly fire”.
Nine people were killed in Israel’s Beit Shemesh after an Iranian missile struck a residential area.
