Members of the Shia community will perform a Quran recitation at the Raja Mahmudabad Fort following the death of their religious leader. They will then submit the condolence message to the administrative officials.
Mahmudabad has a special connection with Iran. The tomb of Mahmudabad’s former king, Mohammad Amir Ahmad Khan, is located in Mashhad, Iran. Members of the estate have frequently met with Khamenei. Professor Ali Khan also met him in 2018 during a religious trip, the Fort’s secretary confirmed.
On the other hand, Khamenei’s death has sparked outrage among the Shia community.
Maulana Ishtiyak A Hussain, Imam-e-Juma of Bangla Wali Mosque of old Sitapur, has called the US a coward on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. At the same time, he has also expressed displeasure with the Islamic countries that are keeping silent in this matter.
He expressed strong displeasure with the leaders of Islamic countries for remaining silent while referring to the Epstein files. A Majlis was also organised at the mosque after the Sunday prayers. In Mohalla Bangla, people pasted posters of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on their houses. The residents here follow his ideals.
