Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is on an official trip to Singapore and Japan, making a global pitch for investments in the state. During his ongoing foreign tour, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his ambition of making Uttar Pradesh a one trillion dollar economy by 2029-2030. At the interaction with the Indian diaspora, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said, “…Ab Uttar Pradesh ke andar na curfew hai, na danga hai. Ab UP mein sab changa hai…”
Inviting new investments in UP, Yogi stressed that there are many opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, and the results of the government’s various policies over the past nine years are evident. He highlighted that the state has established itself as one of the fastest-growing states economically in the nation.

Mega deals signed in Tokyo
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath landed in Tokyo on 25 February, where he received a warm reception and was greeted by Vice Governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian diaspora. This visit, part of a two-nation tour, marks the Chief Minister’s maiden trip to Japan- a significant milestone reflecting the deepening strategic and cultural ties between India and Japan.
During this Japan visit, Yogi attended the Uttar Pradesh Investment Roadshow in Tokyo on Wednesday, where he presented the state as a global hub for skilled labour and a massive consumption market with a population of 250 million.
MoU with Minda Corporation
UP Chief Minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the delegation of Minda Corporation, including Executive Director Aakash Minda, Executive Director along with its Japanese joint venture partners. The MoU was signed to further strengthen UP’s advanced auto component manufacturing ecosystem.
CM Yogi also invited other Japanese business leaders to visit Uttar Pradesh to contribute to advancing the private industrial park program. He added, “Uttar Pradesh is known as the food basket of India…Uttar Pradesh is also the state with the largest water resources in India…Keeping the needs of Uttar Pradesh in mind, we have identified a population of 250 million within Uttar Pradesh. Fifty-six per cent of this 250 million population is youth, a working force. Skilled manpower is always available to you in any field. Affordable and quality manpower for every sector is available in Uttar Pradesh today.”
Japan’s corporate giants meet Yogi
Uttar Pradesh CM held a meeting with Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer, Executive General Manager, Sales Management Division/In charge of Domestic Business, Konoike Transport Co., Ltd., along with his team in Tokyo.
CM Yogi also held a meeting with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer, Chief Operating Officer of Infrastructure Projects Business Unit, Mitsui & Co., inviting the firm to explore transformative investment opportunities across Renewable Energy, ICT, Semiconductors, and Data Centers, aligned with the state’s rapid industrial expansion.
He also met Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, and Toshihiro Suzuki, President and Representative Director of Suzuki Motor Corporation in Tokyo.
UP gets Rs 1 lakh crore investment from Singapore
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was on a two-day visit to Singapore from 22 to 24 February 2026. After holding a meeting with the CEOs of major fintech companies, Yogi announced that he received proposals for investments worth Rs one lakh crore in Uttar Pradesh during his visit to Singapore.
MoUs signed for real estate, totalling Rs 6000 crore investment
The UP CM has inked an MoU with Universal Success Enterprises Limited for real estate, logistics park totalling Rs 6000 crore investment.
Prasoon Mukherjee, Founder and Chairman, Universal Success Enterprises Limited, thanked Yogi for the allocation of land for building the proposed logistics park in Noida. He said, “We see great potential in Uttar Pradesh.”
The CM also plans to establish a cluster of data centres near Lucknow and construct five expressways around Kanpur in the near future.
MoU signed between UP Govt & ITE College Central
In Singapore, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi also visited ITE College Central (ITECC) and inspected the Aerospace Centre. He held a meeting with ITEES on TVET knowledge sharing.
He also met Lim Chow Kiat, Chief Executive Officer, GIC, along with his delegation, and explored avenues for long-term institutional investments in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in infrastructure, logistics, industrial parks and sustainable urban development projects.
The GIC is an existing partner of Uttar Pradesh, having its association with IRB in the Ganga Expressway project and collaboration with Greenko in the state.
UP CM also held a meeting with Tan Su Shan, Chief Executive Officer, DBS Group, along with her senior leadership team, in Singapore. He discussed strengthening financial cooperation, facilitating project financing and supporting investment flows into infrastructure and growth sectors in the state.
