India hosted the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from February 16-20, bringing together leaders, industrialists, innovators and people from the start-up sectors together at the Bharat Mandapam.
Calling it a turning point, PM Modi said that the Summit unfolded how the world will use the power of AI in the future. “I got the opportunity to meet the world leaders and tech leaders. At the AI Summit Exhibition, I showcase many innovations to the world leaders,” he said.
“The world leaders showed great interest in learning about Bharat’s ancient knowledge through a modern avatar,” he added.
PM Modi asks citizens to embrace ‘Vocal for Local’ mantra
During his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address, PM Modi also appealed to citizens to go “Vocal for Local” during the upcoming festive season. He asked people to promote domestic products and support India’s goal of Aatmanirbharta (self-reliant).
While cautioning against use of foreign products during celebrations, the Prime Minister encouraged everyone to celebrate festivals joyfully with their family and loved ones while keeping in mind the importance of supporting local businesses.
He said, “Many foreign items have entered Holi and other festivals. Keep them away from festivals, keep them away from Holi also, and adopt Swadeshi. When you buy Swadeshi, you also help in the campaign of making the country self-reliant.”
