Responding to the Chief Minister’s statement on the Shankaracharya issue, Yadav said the incident in Varanasi happened during the Samajwadi Party government due to adverse circumstances and the opposition from the BJP. He said Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati was not a shankaracharya at the time, but the SP government later admitted its mistake by apologizing to the Shankaracharya.

He alleged that the current government prevented Shankaracharya from bathing in the Ganga and treated him with disrespect. The people of the state and the Sanatan community are angry with the government on these issues and will respond democratically.

Akhilesh Yadav also accused the Chief Minister of creating controversy and tension in society. He stated that the Samajwadi Party is committed to protecting the honor and religious beliefs of the people.
