Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on Monday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The India AI Impact Expo 2026 is being held from February 16-20, alongside the India AI Impact Summit. The theme of the Summit is Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya. Following the inauguration, the summit will be open for the general public from Tuesday.
After inaugurating the summit, Modi, in a social media post on X, said that being among the innovators and tech enthusiasts at the India AI Impact Expo gave “a glimpse of the extraordinary potential of AI, Indian talent and innovation.”

He further added, “Together, we will shape solutions not just for India but for the world!”
The India AI Impact Expo will host over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, structured across three thematic chakras – People, Planet, and Progress. Over 600 high-potential startups will demonstrate AI-based working solutions that are already deployed in real-world settings.

Besides Indian startups and states, pavilions from 13 countries showcasing international collaboration in the AI ecosystem have also been set up at the Expo. These include pavilions from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and Africa.
In addition to this, the expo also brings together global technology firms, startups, academia and research institutions, central & state governments, and international partners.
According to the government estimates, some 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates from several countries, are expected to participate in the expo.
Over the next five days, beginning today, over 500 sessions will be organised, featuring more than 3,250 visionary speakers and panel members.
The sessions will focus on acknowledging the transformative impact of AI across sectors and deliberating on future actions to ensure that AI benefits every global citizen.
