In the film, Shahid and Rashmika will play a married couple whose relationship has reached a breaking point. Divorce seems almost certain.
But just as things begin to fall apart, their lives take a strange turn. A scientific experiment goes wrong, throwing them into a series of chaotic and funny situations. What follows is not just comedy, but also moments that force them to rethink their relationship.
The film is said to be light, warm and packed with witty moments, while also exploring deeper emotions beneath the humour.
The project will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, known for films like Badhaai Ho and Maidaan. The film will be produced by Sunir Kheterpal in association with Jio Studios.
Production is expected to begin around August-September 2026.
For Shahid, this marks another quirky romantic outing after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024), which blended romance with a sci-fi angle.
Shahid was recently seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster thriller O’Romeo, which reportedly opened with Rs 8.25 crore net on its first day.

He will next work on Farzi Season 2 with Raj and DK, before moving to this rom-com. Cocktail 2 is also expected later this year.
Rashmika, meanwhile, recently wrapped the first schedule of Atlee and Allu Arjun’s action film. She is set to marry longtime boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda later this month.
She will also star in the historical epic Ranabaali, releasing on September 11, 2026, along with another project titled Mysa.
With romance, comedy and unexpected chaos at its core, this Shahid-Rashmika pairing is already building curiosity.
