State-wise buzz: Who’s booking tickets?

Looking closer at the state-wise advance bookings, the numbers tell an interesting story. In Andhra Pradesh, ticket sales are modest at ₹2.28 lakh for seven shows. Assam and Bihar are still waking up with negligible occupancy.

Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Haryana, and Uttarakhand show similar trends, mostly quiet theaters ahead of release.

Gujarat, however, is lighting up with ₹11.08 lakh booked across 480 shows, and Madhya Pradesh isn’t far behind at ₹5.26 lakh from 193 shows. Maharashtra, the powerhouse of Bollywood, has generated ₹10.45 lakh in bookings across 621 shows.

Rajasthan shows promising interest with ₹7.74 lakh in advance bookings. Uttar Pradesh seems particularly eager with ₹12.93 lakh booked and several shows nearing full occupancy. Punjab’s ₹97.46 thousand and Delhi’s ₹21.26 lakh in block-included figures hint at a decent metro and tier-one city interest.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal are showing slower numbers likely due to language preferences.

Star cast that draws attention

Part of the excitement is obviously fueled by the film’s all-star lineup. Shahid Kapoor is front and center, but the ensemble cast adds plenty of sizzle.

Tripti Dimri brings her intense screen presence, while veterans Nana Patekar and Vikrant Massey add gravitas.

Fans will also spot Disha Patani and Tamannaah in key roles, with Avinash Tiwary rounding out the ensemble.

The film is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
