Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav said that the Uttar Pradesh Governor’s address, made in the joint session of the state legislature on, appears more like a celebration of false praises for a government steeped in corruption.
The public will not be misled by the government’s attempts to create a false sense of progress on paper. The BJP government has only worked to betray the trust of the people of the state and harm mutual harmony, he alleged.

Yadav said under the BJP rule, the progress of the state has been stalled. The metro, which had progressed significantly under the Samajwadi government, has not moved an inch further. No express highway has been built to match the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
“There is anarchy and disorder everywhere. Farmers are in distress. Young people are suffering from unemployment. There are no jobs, industries are closing down in the state, and only grand events are being held in the name of capital investment. No investment is visible on the ground,” he alleged.
The SP president, in a statement here, said that the Governor’s address is merely a display of statistics and empty rhetoric. While the address contains many claims, the ground reality is that even 50 per cent of the funds have not been spent in many departments. There is no water in the toilets. In some places, only the structures for taps have been erected under the tap water scheme, and in other places, no water is available. The products of small and medium-sized industries are not selling. Due to the lack of expensive raw materials, these industries are also shutting down. Industries are facing a crisis due to the power shortage and the deteriorating law and order situation.
Yadav further said that the people of the state have clearly understood the BJP’s lies, corruption, and dishonesty. The people, suffering from inflation, unemployment, and corruption, are now determined to remove the BJP government in the 2027 assembly elections, only then will Uttar Pradesh be freed from the looming crisis.
