Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, and BSP Chief Mayawati expressed deep sorrow on the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and others accompanying him in a plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday morning.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his humble tributes to the departed souls and said that his thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time. He prayed to God to grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the grieving families to bear this immense sorrow.

The Chief Minister, in a message on his social media, said that such incidents deeply sadden the entire nation and make us realise the irreparable loss. He prayed to Lord Rama to grant a place at his feet to the departed souls.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, in his condolence message on X, said, “Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar has passed away in a plane crash. This is extremely tragic!
“May God grant peace to his soul. Our deepest condolences to his grieving family. Heartfelt tributes!” Akhilesh Yadav wrote.
BSP supremo Mayawati wrote, “The death of Mr Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and a prominent leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, in a plane crash in Baramati today is extremely tragic. My deepest condolences to his family and the members of his party. May God give them the strength to bear this immense loss.”
A plane carrying NCP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar crashed in Baramati. A total of five people, including Ajit Pawar, died in the accident.
The plane crash occurred during landing in Baramati, Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar was going to Baramati for election campaigning. It is still unclear whether the plane made a crash landing or whether the accident was due to a technical malfunction. The private chartered plane was completely destroyed in the incident.
