Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan on Saturday held a Farewell & Citation Ceremony to bid an emotional farewell to the outgoing Class of 2026.

Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary, CBSE, New Delhi presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the students, Gupta described the ceremony as a moment of mixed emotions, marking an important transition in the students’ lives, encouraging them to cherish friendships, nurture social capital and keep the spirit of learning alive.

Emphasizing the importance of contribution over competition, he urged the students to aspire not just to seek jobs, but to become givers of opportunities.

Welcoming the gathering which also included proud parents, members of the Management Board and distinguished guests, Priti Mehra, Officiating Principal, highlighted that the ceremony was not merely a celebration of academic success, but a tribute to the students’ holistic growth, strong values, and well-rounded personalities shaped over the years at Springdales.

Mehra read out the citations of each student highlighting their contribution to the school life while the Class Teacher lit the ceremonial lamp symbolizing the student’s journey ahead with the blessings of the teachers.

The outgoing students pledged to uphold the ideals of the school and strive for International Friendship, Brotherhood and Peace in keeping with the school motto ‘Vasudhev Kutumbkum’.

Quoting Pandit Ravi Shankar’s widely recognised phrase ‘This is the time for you to dream’, Dr. A. Sankara Reddy, Chairperson, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, advised students to remain confident, honest and dedicated towards their goals while never wavering from their responsibilities.

The School Choir captivated the audience with an inspiring rendition of “Yeh Hausla”, beautifully echoing themes of hope, dreams, and the limitless possibilities that await beyond the horizon.
