The trailer of the upcoming Hindi crime thriller series ‘Daldal’ has been officially unveiled, plunging viewers into a tense, shadowy world of crime, obsession and moral conflict.

‘Daldal’ trailer offers a glimpse into a dark crime-ridden Mumbai
Set against the gritty backdrop of Mumbai, the series follows DCP Rita Ferreira, portrayed by Bhumi Pednekar, as she leads a high-stakes investigation to track down a ruthless serial killer, navigating a maze of danger, fear and psychological turmoil.
Based on a bestselling novel
‘Daldal’ is adapted from Vish Dhamija’s bestselling book Bhindi Bazaar and is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta. The series is produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni under the banner of Abundantia Entertainment.

The show is created by Suresh Triveni and written by Srikanth Agniswaran, Rohan D’Souza and Priya Saggi, with powerful dialogues penned by Triveni and Hussain Haidry, adding emotional depth to the crime narrative.
Bhumi Pednekar on playing DCP Rita Ferreira
Opening up about her role, Bhumi Pednekar described Daldal as one of the most intense experiences of her career.
“It has been one of the most creatively satisfying experiences of my career. Rita is a woman driven by ambition, haunted by doubt, and burdened by her past. The character pushed me to explore the delicate balance between fragility and strength in a way I hadn’t before,” she said.

She added that stepping into Rita’s world was both challenging and rewarding, as the character’s journey mirrors the internal struggles and vulnerabilities many people face.
Reuniting with familiar collaborators
Bhumi also expressed her gratitude for reuniting with producer Vikram Malhotra after the success of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, calling the collaboration a “homecoming”.
She thanked the entire Daldal team and shared her hope that audiences connect deeply with Rita’s journey.

Cast, release date and platform
Alongside Bhumi Pednekar, Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal play pivotal roles in the series.
‘Daldal’ is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on January 30, streaming in India and across 240+ countries and territories worldwide.
