Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today targeted the United States President Donald Trump, amid the ongoing anti-government protests in the country. During his speech at a public meeting, the Iranian leader called Trump arrogant, and alleged that his hands were stained with the blood of Iranians.
Khamenei asserted that Trump would be overthrown, asking him to focus on the problems in his own country. He further added that protesters were ‘ruining their own streets to make the president of another country happy,’ referring to Trump.

Against the massive escalation in anti-government protests in the country, he reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic will not back down in the face of protesters who he called vandals and saboteurs.
The scale of the unrest in Iran is growing as top leaders exchange heated remarks, admonishing each other amid intensified demonstrations across the Middle Eastern country.
Earlier on Thursday, Trump had given a sharp warning to the Iranian government against harming protesters, stating that the United States would intervene if innocent people were killed amid the ongoing protests in the Middle Eastern country. Trump said, “If they do anything bad to these people, we’re going to hit them very hard.” He further said that “the enthusiasm to overturn the regime has been incredible.”
