Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 72nd National Volleyball Tournament on January 4, at 12 noon through video conferencing, according to an official government announcement. The opening ceremony will take place at Dr Sampoornanand Sports Stadium in Varanasi, with the week-long championship running from January 4 to January 11.
The tournament will feature over 1,000 players across 58 teams representing various states and institutions, showcasing top-level talent, sportsmanship, and emerging stars in Indian volleyball.
