Khadi product sales hit record ₹1.87 lakh crore in 2025–26
In the previous financial year, 2024–25, sales stood at ₹1,70,551.37 crore. The latest figures represent a multi-fold increase from ₹31,154 crore recorded in 2013–14.
Food inflation stood at (-) 3.91%, with the corresponding rural and urban inflation rates at (-) 4.05% and (-) 3.60%, respectively.

The year-on-year Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation for November 2025 has been recorded at 0.71%, marking an increase of 46 basis points.
Food inflation stood at (-) 3.91%, with the corresponding rural and urban inflation rates at (-) 4.05% and (-) 3.60%, respectively.

The rise in headline inflation and food inflation during November 2025 is mainly attributed to higher inflation in vegetables, eggs, meat and fish, spices, and fuel and light categories.

According to data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO), fuel and light inflation for November rose to 2.32%, compared to 1.98% in October 2025.
Commenting on the inflation data, Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and Secretary General, PHDCCI, said: “Over the next two quarters, we anticipate that India’s inflation will remain within a manageable range, supported by benign food prices, GST rate rationalisation, stable energy prices, and the Reserve Bank of India’s strategic monetary management.”
Housing inflation stood at 2.95%, slightly lower than 2.96% in October 2025. Education inflation eased to 3.38%, down from 3.54% in October.
Health inflation moderated to 3.60% in November, compared to 3.81% in October. Transport and communication inflation softened to 0.88%, down from 0.94% the previous month.
However, fuel and light inflation increased to 2.32% in November from 1.98% in October. Recently, the Reserve Bank of India lowered its overall inflation forecast for FY26 to 2%, down from the earlier projection of 2.6%.
