Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, has achieved the highest-ever monthly container in the month of November. The HDC handled 21,691 twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEUs) last month, surpassing 48.97 per cent of growth with 15231 TEUs handled in November 2024.
According to the city port office, the record even surpassed the recent records of 20,133 TEUs handled in January and 20,627 TEUs handled in September.

Speaking on the milestone, Rathendra Raman, chairperson, SMP, Kolkata, said, “This historic performance reflects the unwavering dedication of our workforce and the remarkable teamwork displayed across the Haldia Dock Complex. Together, we have once again demonstrated HDC’s capability as a vital contributor to India’s maritime progress.”
