Yoga, knowledge, leadership: Ramdev’s message to Patanjali Gurukulam students

Yoga guru Swami Ramdev recently took a dive into the learning world at Acharyakulam University also called Patanjali Gurukulam. His visit was a journey through a blend of ancient Indian traditions and today’s modern education.

During his interaction with students, Ramdev highlighted how this institution is nurturing young minds in order to help them become capable heirs of India’s age-old wisdom.

Tradition meets modern knowledge

Patanjali Gurukulam is not just about degrees or certificates. Its main aim is to shape well-rounded personalities excelling in knowledge, values, health, leadership. Here students are taught the Vedas, Upanishads, Sanskrit, Indian philosophical traditions. But they also study modern subjects such as science, technology, mathematics with equal emphasis.

Beyond academics, students learn over ten languages and more than a hundred skills. Ramdev stressed that India needs young people who are rooted in their cultural values yet equipped to face modern challenges.

Healthy body, clear mind, strong character

During his visit, Ramdev engaged with students about yoga, meditation, and pranayama practices. He emphasised that life at the Gurukulam goes far beyond classrooms. The discipline, daily routines, environment help in building students’ complete personality.

Yoga and Ayurveda form the foundation of learning here. Students start their day with yogic exercises in order to to boost focus and mental strength. Meals are carefully planned to be sattvic and health-promoting ensuring that both body and mind remain pure and energised.

According to Ramdev, physical health, mental clarity, moral character are all intertwined, and the Gurukulam is designed to nurture all three.

Patanjali Gurukulam is emerging as more than just a school. It is becoming a center for India’s cultural revival. The institution aims to prepare the next generation to compete globally and also to stay connected to their roots.
