ITAT member, 2 others arrested by CBI with Rs 1 crore

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) Member (Judicial) Sita Laxmi, along with a lawyer and a party, have been arrested here by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with more than 1.15 crore in cash.

The CBI has conducted raids at different places, including Jaipur and Kota to investigate suspecting criminal activities in the ITAT.

The trio, Sita Laxmi, lawyer Rajendra Sisodia and one Muzzamil, were arrested with the cash. After their arrest, they were produced before the Special CBI Court (Jaipur -I) on Wednesday from where they were remanded into CBI custody for three days.
