Over 5.25 crore counting forms have been digitized by BLOs in Uttar Pradesh as on Tuesday, with 1,62,486 BLOs working on this task of Special Intensive Revision( SIR), said state Chief Electoral Officer( CEO) Navdeep Rinwa here.

Yesterday, the digitization of UP stood at 4,10,82,866, which was 26.60% of the total submitted enumeration forms of voters in the state. But within a day, over 1.10 crore voter forms were digitized.

The CEO informed that the distribution, collection, and digitization of counting forms for over 15.44 crore voters is being carried out at over 1.62 lakh polling booths in the state. He asked Voters to complete and submit the counting forms to their BLOs by December 4 and appealed to all voters to participate enthusiastically in the SIR process and cooperate with their BLOs.

He stated that due to voter enthusiasm, the ongoing SIR to purify the voter list, the cooperation of Block Education Officers (BLAs), and the dedication of BLOs (BLOs) has resulted in 100% completion of the distribution, collection, and digitization of counting forms at certain polling stations.

District Election Officers are also honouring BLOs who have performed 100% of their outstanding work. Learning from the work of these diligent BLOs, other BLOs should also accelerate the SIR.

The CEO has directed all district election officers to boost the morale of BLOs and other personnel engaged in the collection and digitization of counting forms and expedite the SIR process. He urged voters to be made aware and supported in filling out counting forms.
