The Tata Sierra, a name that once ruled Indian roads in the ’90s, is officially back and this time as a stylish, feature-packed new-generation SUV. Tata Motors has finally lifted the curtain on the all-new Sierra, and the excitement among car lovers is loud and clear.
Tata Sierra price in India
The new Tata Sierra has been introduced at an attractive starting price of Rs. 11.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Bookings will begin on 16 December, and those who can’t wait to get behind the wheel can expect deliveries from 15 January 2026.

Engines and performance
Under the hood, Tata has packed plenty of power and choice. The most exciting of the lot is the 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol engine that kicks out 158bhp and 255Nm. It comes only with a smooth six-speed automatic gearbox and is designed for drivers who enjoy a strong push of acceleration.
For those who prefer a more relaxed driving style, Tata is also offering a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This version produces 105bhp and 145Nm, and buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT.
There is also a diesel option, powered by Tata’s familiar 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, producing 116bhp and 260Nm. Even here, customers get the flexibility of a manual or a DCT gearbox.
Interestingly, the new Sierra will also become the first among Tata’s new-gen models to come with an AWD (all-wheel-drive) option, adding a layer of adventure and capability for off-road fans.
Inside the new Tata Sierra
Step inside the cabin, and the Sierra feels futuristic yet warm. While it shares its base layout with Tata’s Curvv SUV, the Sierra introduces a fresh design language. The most eye-catching element is the triple-screen setup, giving the cockpit a premium and modern look.
Tata has also loaded the SUV with tech and comfort: a 12-speaker JBL system with a sound bar, a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, connected car features, and Level 2 ADAS for safety.
The famous Alpine-style roof, which was the identity of the old Sierra, has been reimagined in a cleaner, wider, flat-glass design. To keep the cabin airy, a sunroof has also been added. With six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and ISOFIX mounts, safety gets high priority too. The SUV measures 4.6 metres in length with a 2.7-metre wheelbase, promising solid road presence.
Fresh yet familiar exterior
From the outside, the new Sierra keeps a tough, boxy stance that honours the original SUV. It features 19-inch alloys, sharp LED lighting, a sporty rear spoiler and an updated Tata grille that gives it a confident face. Buyers can pick from six exterior colours and three interior themes, letting them choose a style that matches their personality.
