In a significant blow to interstate drug trafficking, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a key member of a narcotics syndicate, Tushar, wanted in two separate high-profile heroin cases. Authorities said the seizure involved heroin worth over Rs 8 crore.

The breakthrough came on November 21 when police received a tip-off about Tushar’s location in Mahaveer Enclave, a busy residential area in the national capital. Using technical surveillance and coordinated intelligence, a Crime Branch team led by Head Constables Pramod Kumar and Ravinder Singh tracked the accused to Gali No. 5 in Mahaveer Enclave. The crime branch launched a well-planned raid and apprehended Tushar, 31.

The first case dates back to February 11 when the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) recovered 258 grams of heroin. Following this, the North West District court through ASJ Shivaji Anand officially declared Tushar a proclaimed offender on July 2, 2025.

The second case involved the seizure of 512 grams of heroin on January 30, 2025. Tushar was declared a proclaimed offender in this case as well by ASJ Puneet Pahwa of the North East District court on October 17, 2025. Investigators confirmed that he was the main source behind both heroin consignments linking him directly to the interstate supply network operating in Delhi-NCR.

Police said the arrest of Tushar not only removed a notorious figure from circulation but also disrupted a major supply chain that fed heroin across the region.

“This arrest is a result of persistent intelligence gathering, surveillance, and meticulous planning,” said a Crime Branch official. “Tushar was a key player in the distribution network, and his capture sends a strong message to other traffickers.”
