Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday targeted the Congress, saying that the party used tribals as a mere vote bank and never allowed the history of tribal freedom fighter heroes to come out.
The MP CM was speaking at the function during the Tribal Pride Day celebrations held on the 150th birth anniversary of tribal icon and freedom fighter Lord Birsa Munda in the tribal-dominated Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Dr Yadav noted that this occasion is greater than any festival. He said that the tribal community fought against the oppressive policies of the British.
“Birsa Munda, Chittu Singh Kirad, Tantya Mama and many others waged historic battles against the British”, he said.
He accused the Congress of ignoring tribal history after Independence. “The Congress hid the history of tribal revolutionaries”, he said.
The MP CM emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun the work of honouring tribal revolutionaries, and BJP is reviving their legacy across the country.
Referring to the Bihar assembly results, Yadav said, “The Congress has been swept away.”
On the occasion, Dr Yadav also performed the bhoomi pujan of development works worth Rs 49.73 crore and inaugurated completed projects worth Rs 194.78 crore. Beneficiaries were also felicitated.
He also unveiled the statues of Birsa Munda and tribal leader Chittu Singh Kirad at the local college ground.
