SCR to operate 60 pre-Sabarimala special trains from Andhra, Telangana to Kollam

The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced that it will operate 60 Pre-Sabarimala special trains connecting key destinations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with Kollam in Kerala to manage the anticipated surge of devotees traveling to Sabarimala.

The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced that it will operate 60 Pre-Sabarimala special trains connecting key destinations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with Kollam in Kerala to manage the anticipated surge of devotees traveling to Sabarimala.

These special trains will operate from Machilipatnam, Narsapur, and Charlapalli to Kollam, covering multiple routes via Renigunta, Gudur, and Guntur, among others. The services are scheduled to run from November 2025 to January 2026, facilitating smoother travel for pilgrims during the Sabarimala season, according to an SCR statement.

Train services have been scheduled to facilitate the annual Sabarimala pilgrimage. Train No. 07101/07102, running between Machilipatnam and Kollam for 10 trips, will operate via Gudur and Renigunta, with halts at major stations including Vijayawada, Salem, Erode, Palakkad, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, and Chengannur.
Train No. 07103/07104, also between Machilipatnam and Kollam for 10 trips, will run through Guntur, Nandyal, Kadapa, and Renigunta, stopping at key stations such as Markapur Road, Erode, and Aluva, with Train No. 07104 additionally halting at Diguvamaetta on its return journey.

Train No. 07105/07106, operating between Narsapur and Kollam for 20 trips, will travel via Vijayawada, Gudur, and Renigunta, stopping at Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Tiruppur, and Kottayam. Meanwhile, Train No. 07107/07108, running between Charlapalli and Kollam for 20 trips, will follow the route via Guntur, Gudur, and Renigunta, covering important stations such as Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Salem, Erode, and Ernakulam Town.

The SCR stated that these trains aim to provide comfortable and convenient travel options for thousands of devotees embarking on the annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
Officials urged passengers to check the detailed schedules and book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
