One woman died and eight people went missing in the tragic accident.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached the Mihipurwa tehsil at around 2:50 pm and was apprised about the rescue operation from administrative officials and also conducted an aerial survey of the boat accident site.

During his meeting with the affected families, the chief minister consoled them and announced a major relief measure. “Arrangements will be made for the rehabilitation of the villagers. A colony will be built. All kinds of amenities and markets will be available for them. Land will be acquired for this purpose and arrangements will be made for their living,” he assured
He also stated that the process of providing land, money, and housing to the families of those who lost their lives in the boat tragedy is set to be completed within the next month. He said, “Our condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives in the boat accident. We stand with them in this hour of grief. The government will provide all possible assistance.”
Chief Minister Yogi also raised the issue of the safety of people living in forest villages. “If there are forest villages or any such places where people are forced to live in dense forests, we will relocate them from there and make arrangements for them to live in a safe place, so that future generations can live safely,” he said.
He assured the families of the victims that he would stand with them in this hour of need, saying, “The government and public representatives are standing with them in this hour of grief.”
The chief minister tweeted just before his visit: “I will meet the families of those affected by the recent heartbreaking boat accident in Bahraich today and share their grief. I will also conduct an aerial survey of the area. The service and safety of 25 crore people of the state is our top priority. The UP government is committed to providing all possible assistance to every affected family.”
The visit has provided great relief and support to the families affected by the boat accident.
