MP CM disburses Rs 1,835 crore under Laadli Behna Scheme
The CM transferred the amount by a single click, at a grand Laadli Behna function held at village Mungwani in the Narsinghpur district of the state.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes on the occasion of the state’s 70th Foundation Day.
On this historic occasion, Dr Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has completed 70 glorious years of its developmental journey. “Formed on November 1, 1956, this state is not only geographically situated in the heart of India but has also carved a distinct identity on the country’s developmental map,” the MP CM asserted.

The Chief Minister said that these seven decades have been a gratifying journey of dedication, determination, and continuous progress. “This day reminds us of the hard work, passion, and public participation of our forefathers, as well as their and our shared faith and commitment to democratic values and inclusive development,” Dr Yadav stated.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav further noted that in the past seventy years, Madhya Pradesh has made remarkable progress in every field. “Once referred to as a ‘BIMARU’ state, Madhya Pradesh has today achieved new milestones in agriculture, irrigation, industry, education, healthcare, infrastructure, women’s empowerment, and environmental protection”, the CM said.
He expressed joy that MP is now known as the ‘Food Basket of India’, having become self-reliant in food production and successfully implementing numerous schemes aimed at doubling farmers’ income.
Highlighting various welfare initiatives, the Chief Minister said that programmes like the ‘Devi Ahilya Mission for Women Empowerment’ and the ‘Ladli Lakshmi Yojana’ have become models of women’s empowerment. For the youth, schemes such as the ‘Chief Minister’s Udyam Kranti Yojana’ and ‘Startup Madhya Pradesh’ have opened new doors of employment and innovation.
“The state’s focus on good governance and innovation has set an exemplary model of administration reaching directly to the people’s doorstep,” the CM emphasised.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is now moving forward with the vision and commitment of ‘Developed India @2047’. He noted that rapid progress is being made in the areas of smart cities, green energy, water conservation, digital governance, and rural development.
“Embracing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a truly self-reliant state”, the MP CM said.
The Chief Minister emphasised that Madhya Pradesh today is not only the geographical heart of India but also beats as its social, economic, cultural, and tourism hub.
“Our direction and goal are clear — to ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen, everyone gets a job, every household experiences happiness, and every heart feels pride in being a resident of Madhya Pradesh,” the CM asserted.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav concluded by saying that the 70th Foundation Day is an opportunity to recall past achievements and set golden goals for the future. On this occasion, he called upon all citizens to unite and actively contribute to building a developed, self-reliant, and empowered Madhya Pradesh.
“Through collective participation, let us take this opportunity to place our soil, our motherland, and our state at the forefront of progress in every field,” Dr Yadav said.
