Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini participated in the Run For Unity event on Friday in Fatehabad, Haryana. The event was organised simultaneously in all districts of the state on the 150th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The CM said that the Run For Unity is a nationwide yagya (sacrifice) dedicated to the country’s unity and integrity.

“This race is a nationwide yagya dedicated to India’s unity and integrity, in which everyone is participating. This race, organised in all districts of Haryana, was made successful by lakhs of youth with their enthusiasm, zeal, and energy, for which the Chief Minister thanked everyone,” the CMO Haryana shared on the social media platform X.
“On this, his birth anniversary, countless salutations to the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji, who regarded the protection of the nation’s unity and sovereignty as the supreme priority of life and laid the foundation of a powerful, strong, and prosperous India,” the CM said while sharing a post earlier in the day on X.
He said that the nation will forever remain indebted to Patel.
“The grateful nation will forever remain indebted to the great personality of the ‘Iron Man’ who, with the vision of ‘One India, Excellent India’, wove the country into a single thread and laid the foundation of an undivided India,” Saini said.
Patel served as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. He was a veteran leader of the Indian National Congress and played a pivotal role in the Independence movement and the country’s political integration.
