It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called upon citizens across the nation to participate in the Run for Unity on 31st October, celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The day marks the enduring spirit of unity and togetherness that Sardar Patel envisioned for India.

Responding to a post by Ekta Diwas Bharat on X, PM Modi wrote, “Join the Run for Unity on 31st October and celebrate the spirit of togetherness! Let’s honour Sardar Patel’s vision of a united India.”

Patel served as the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India from 1947 to 1950. He was a veteran leader of the Indian National Congress party and played a significant role in the Indian independence movement and political integration of the country.
