MCD school employee assaulted with iron rod in South-East Delhi’s Aali village

A man working as a Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) at an MCD school was brutally attacked with an iron rod by another person and his associate in South-East Delhi’s Aali village, resulting in serious injuries to his legs. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital.

According to police, the incident occurred on Friday. The injured, identified as Raghuraj, a resident of Aali village, sustained multiple leg injuries but is reported to be in a stable condition.

A video of the assault has gone viral on social media, showing one man mercilessly thrashing another with a rod.

Preliminary investigation suggests personal animosity as the motive behind the attack. The alleged assailant, identified as Mohit, reportedly suspected that Raghuraj had complained to land authorities about an illegal construction on Mohit’s plot in Aali Extension, which was recently demolished.

Police said Mohit had purchased the plot two years ago and carried out construction on it, part of which was demolished by the land development authority about a month ago.

Upon receiving the medico-legal case (MLC) information from the hospital, a police team led by the area SHO reached the spot and initiated an inquiry into the matter.
