The holy city of Ayodhya is preparing to shine once again in the divine glow of Deepotsav 2025. Over 26 lakh diyas will illuminate the Saryu ghats, and 2,100 devotees will join a collective maha aarti, setting two new world records.
For those unable to attend, the Shri Ayodhya Ji Tirth Vikas Parishad has launched a unique digital initiative — ‘Ek Diya Ram Ke Naam’.

Announcing this, state Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said here on Monday that devotees across the world can light a virtual lamp for Lord Ram through the Divya Ayodhya app and offer prayers from anywhere. “Deepotsav has become a global celebration of faith. Through ‘Ek Diya Ram Ke Naam’, devotees can participate spiritually, making the festival inclusive and emotionally unifying,” he said.
With the Divya Ayodhya app, devotees worldwide can now perform digital lighting of diyas and offer prayers online, ensuring everyone can be part of the celebrations regardless of location.
The app features three devotional packages. The ‘Ram Jyoti’ package (₹2,100) includes roli, Saryu water, Ayodhya soil, ramdana, mishri, raksha sutra, Hanuman Garhi laddoos, and mini Padukas. The ‘Sita Jyoti’ (₹1,100) and ‘Lakshman Jyoti’ (₹501) packages include similar sacred items in varied combinations, delivered directly to registered devotees’ homes.
The Divya Ayodhya app provides temple information, guided tours, hotel and homestay bookings, and transport services. Developed under the UP Homestay Scheme, it connects visitors with local communities, enriching their experience.
The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, and devotees can visit www.divyaayodhya.com/bookdiyaprashad to participate.
Highlighting the essence of the initiative, Minister Singh said, “This effort beautifully blends technology with tradition. Deepotsav 2025 is not just a festival of lamps but also of unity, devotion, and shared faith. Through ‘Ek Diya Ram Ke Naam’, devotees everywhere can feel spiritually connected to Ayodhya and offer their prayers to Lord Ram.”
The campaign ensures that the radiance of Deepotsav 2025 travels beyond Ayodhya, lighting hearts and homes across the world.
