Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday held a high-level meeting with Cristiano R Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm, where they discussed India’s rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and skill development, underscoring the country’s growing role in global technology innovation.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister lauded Qualcomm’s commitment to supporting India’s ambitious Semiconductor and AI Missions. “India offers unmatched talent and scale to build technologies that will shape our collective future,” he said, emphasizing the nation’s potential to be a global hub for cutting-edge technologies.

Expressing gratitude for the dialogue, Mr. Cristiano Amon highlighted Qualcomm’s enthusiasm to deepen its partnership with India, particularly in advancing the IndiaAI and India Semiconductor Missions and the upcoming transition to 6G technology.
“There are tremendous opportunities to develop a robust Indian ecosystem spanning AI-powered smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, automotive, and industrial sectors,” he remarked.
