Officials informed the Chief Minister that 86 schools meeting CBSE standards have already been identified.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to upgrade the remaining schools at the earliest to ensure readiness before the new session begins.
Sukhu said the state government is committed to providing quality education and that there is no shortage of funds for developing infrastructure.
He added that vacant teaching positions are being filled on a priority basis and credited the government’s consistent efforts for Himachal’s rise from 21st to 5th position in the national education quality rankings.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress on setting up Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools and directed officials to speed up their development.
He emphasised that these schools should have well-designed campuses with adequate sports and recreation facilities, describing them as key milestones in educational reform.
Sukhu further said that the government is working to establish state-of-the-art colleges in every district to provide students access to high-quality education and diverse opportunities for holistic development.
