Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday condemned the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh over the recent incident in Agra where several people lost their lives during Maa Durga Idol immersion due to alleged administrative lapses.

Akhilesh Yadav, questioning the government’s preparedness for large-scale events, said such tragedies have become a recurring phenomenon under the BJP rule. “Bade aayojanon se pehle bade purvanuman aur intezaam karne mein BJP sarkar hamesha nakam kyon rehti hai. Uske baad nakami chipane ke liye hataahaton ke aankde chipati phirti hai,” Akhilesh Yadav wrote in a post on his WhatsApp channel demanding proper compensation for the victims’ families. “Sabhi ko yathochit muawza diya jaye,” he added.
