Three men have been arrested and Rs 1 crore worth of narcotic substances seized after police dismantled a drug cartel operating in Delhi-NCR, an official said on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Tajinderpal Singh, alias Happy (30), Vikram Singh Bhadoria (29), and their associate Kundan Singh Bisht, alias KD (28).

“Happy, originally from Punjab’s Amritsar, holds a diploma in nautical engineering and had previously worked in Malaysia in 2014,” a senior officer mentioned in his statement.
After returning to India in 2022 following the COVID-19 pandemic, he reestablished ties with his former merchant navy colleague Surjeet, also known as Jeeta, who was reportedly involved in illegal methamphetamine trade.
After Surjeet was arrested in Chandigarh in a narcotics case, the accused maintained the drug supply network in Delhi, collaborating with his associate Vikram, a B.Sc. graduate from Gwalior who works as a cab driver in the city.
Bisht, a hotel management diploma graduate from Uttarakhand, had worked in various clubs across Delhi before turning to drug trade during the pandemic.
Police recovered 32 grams of methamphetamine and seven grams of MDMA tablets during the operation. A case has been filed under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
“Following a tip-off on September 2, police set up a trap in Vasant Kunj, South Delhi, and arrested Happy along with 29-year-old Vikram Singh Bhadoria, recovering 24 grams of methamphetamine,” the officer said.
While the duo was in police remand, their associate Kundan was arrested on September 4 in Vasant Kunj, with officials recovering eight grams of methamphetamine and seven grams of MDMA tablets from him.
Investigation into this case is ongoing to trace the larger network and its financial links, the officer added.
